Embed the salary hike calculator

One script tag. A live calculator your readers will actually use. A plain HTML backlink that counts. Built for placement cells, career blogs, HR consultancies, and personal finance sites. Free, no login, no tracking.

Why this exists. Most hike widgets stop at the new CTC. Ours shows monthly in-hand before and after, the real hike %, and which tax regime wins. Your page gets a useful tool; we get a citation. Both sides win.

Live preview

Pick a tool, adjust the defaults and accent below. The preview uses the same embed script your readers will load.

Matches your site's link colour so the widget does not clash.

One-line snippet

Copy and paste where you want the calculator to appear:

Three calculators, one script

Set data-tool to pick which calculator loads.

Tool data-tool value What it shows
Salary hike hike (default) New CTC, monthly in-hand before/after, real hike %, regime comparison
7th CPC salary 7th-cpc Current government pay: basic, DA, HRA, transport, gross and take-home before tax
8th CPC salary 8th-cpc Projected revised pay at any fitment factor, with the DA-reset reality check

What you get

  • Monthly in-hand before and after. Not just the headline CTC, the number that reaches the bank account.
  • Real hike %. Shows why a 30% offer is often a 22% pay rise after tax and EPF.
  • Tax regime comparison at the new salary, with FY 2026-27 slabs from incometax.gov.in.
  • Government pay at notified rates. The 7th CPC calculator uses the latest confirmed DA; the 8th CPC calculator models every fitment factor in circulation.
  • Privacy-first. No cookies, no accounts, no salary data leaving the browser. A genuine differentiator when pitching to universities and finance blogs.

Who this is for

  • Placement cells: a tool students use during offer season, linked from your resources page.
  • Career blogs and newsletters: embeddable utility content that earns links passively for years.
  • HR consultancies and comp advisors: a credible calculator on your services page, without building one yourself.
  • Personal finance bloggers: appraisal-season traffic magnet with real math, not a generic percentage widget.
  • Government job prep sites: embed the 7th or 8th CPC calculator on post pages, salary comparison articles, or pay commission explainers.

Embed FAQ

Is the embed really free?

Yes. Copy the snippet, paste it on your page, and the calculator works immediately. The only requirement is keeping the Powered by salaryhike.in link visible outside the iframe.

Does it slow down my page?

No. The script loads with async, mounts after the host page has painted, and the iframe request is deferred until the widget is near the viewport. Your text and images load first.

Why is the attribution link outside the iframe?

Links inside iframes do not pass authority to the linked site. The embed script writes a plain HTML <a> on your page, outside the iframe, so the citation counts.

Is visitor salary data sent anywhere?

No. Every calculation runs entirely in the visitor's browser inside the iframe. Nothing is logged, stored, or transmitted to a server.

What does the accent colour change?

It tints the active mode button, the hike slider, and the headline rule inside the calculator, plus the attribution link on your page. Pick a hex that matches your site so the widget does not look bolted on.

Can I change the default CTC or hike?

Yes. Use data-ctc and data-hike on the script tag. A placement cell might prefill 6L and 25; a finance blog might use 15L and 30.

Which calculators can I embed?

Three: the salary hike calculator (default), the 7th CPC salary calculator for current government pay, and the 8th CPC salary calculator for projected revised pay. Set data-tool to switch between them.
